Why not share a boat? The hotels sell charters on shared boats all the time. They send them to the "other" charter company that sells a shared boat for $95.00 per person, for four hours.
Sounds great, doesn't it? In fact, we used to refer anglers to that "other" charter company when they wanted to share a boat.
Problem is, waaay too many people just weren't happy.
Let's take a look at why not. Well, it certainly works out for the charter company. They can get $500.00 - $600.00 for a four hour charter. Seeing how that's on a $300.00 boat, that's not a bad deal !
But, what about the angler? Sure, he gets to meet new people, make new friends. Or maybe not. Maybe he's just crowded on a boat with people he wouldn't share a drink with if he had an option.
What about catching fish? How does it feel to be number 4 or 5 or 6 in rotation when you only catch three fish?
Are you going to be happy spending your money so that someone else can catch fish?
Needless to say, there are a lot of things that can go wrong.
Some anglers think nothing about chartering a 32' boat to use by themselves. But sometimes individuals just don't want to spend that much money. Well, they should be able to have an option that doesn't include having to share a boat with a bunch of strangers.
You get everything you have come to expect from a Wasabi Loco Charter. You will have a captain and at least one mate.
If that's more than you want to spend then SHARE YOUR OWN BOAT! Believe me, if you ask around your hotel or favorite bar, you will easily find someone of your own choosing who would absolutely love to share a boat.
You get your shared expense and you fish with someone of your own choosing.
One last thing. We are offering this boat at even more of a discount. We are willing to offer the boat for $300.00 if you are willing to help us out by bringing stuff down for us from the states. What am I talking about? I'm talking about anything from a new gauge for the boat to a new food-saver. So, if you've got a bit of extra room in your suitcase you can turn it into a discount for your fishing trip!
Please keep in mind: This is a 28' boat. It is a great little boat but it is still a 28' boat. Nothing in the world is going to make it ride like a 32' Blackfin. The Blackfin rides as smooth as any boat down here and is worth the extra money. If that is not a concern then there is no better value in the Riviera Maya. At the cost of a panga!
